I've had a tough day with the no smoking. I have given up for 6 weeks, but i had one today. Just felt like talking to someone who understands, as none of my friends are smokers and i have moved away from home. I was hoping that it would have got easier by now and though the cravings are less frequent, they seem to be more intense. Any comments would be gratefully received. Thanks

Glad to see you here. Good for you to have 6 weeks under your belt. So you slipped just get back on track with your quit. I smoked for over 48 years and quit in May 04. It was the hardest thing I ever did. But it has been worth it. I am 64, have severe emphysema and on 02 24/7. Wish I had quit a long time ago. I promise you eventually the real intense urge will go away. I still think about them but don't ever smoke one.
